Frequently asked questions

What people ask before letting someone else talk to their customers. Don't see your question? Just ask.

What does Surfaced do?

We take the sales calls booked on your site. That might be a product demo, a discovery call or a consultation. Someone from our team learns what you sell, joins as part of your team under your brand, runs the call, handles the objections and books the next step. You pay a monthly base fee plus a price per demo, instead of hiring a full-time salesperson.

Who's actually on the call?

Someone from our team that you've already met. Before we take a single call, you get to know the person who'll be selling your product, and that same person stays on your calls. We're a small agency, not a marketplace, started by salespeople with 15 years of experience selling products and services to companies and institutions, in person and online.

Do you only take software demos?

No. Good salespeople adapt fast, and the same skills sell services too. We take discovery calls and consultations for agencies, consultancies and service businesses. If people book a call with you before they buy, we can take it.

Do you sell in Spanish?

Sí. Everyone on our team is fully bilingual, so we can pitch in English or Spanish, whichever your customers speak. If you sell into both markets, you don't need two salespeople.

Can I join the call?

Of course. Join, listen in, or skip it and read the recap. Some founders just want us to break the ice on that first call, then they take the conversation from there. Others want us on the follow-ups too. You decide how involved we are.

How do you learn our product?

Kickoff starts with a walkthrough from you, plus your docs, pricing, competitors and any calls you've recorded. We turn that into a talk track and an objection playbook, and you approve both before we take a single call.

Will our customers know you're not on our team?

No. We work as your white-label partner, with your email domain, your deck, your booking page and your name on the invite. To your customers, we're part of your team, and we treat them like they're our own.

What happens after the call?

We send the follow-up, answer open questions and book the next step, whether that's a technical deep-dive, a pilot or a proposal call. You get the recording, the transcript, a written recap and an updated CRM record. Then you take it from there, or we keep going if you'd like.

What will we learn from the calls?

More than you'd think. Good salespeople ask good questions, so every recap tells you what people liked, what worried them, what they compared you to and why they said yes or no. It's honest customer feedback that's hard to get any other way.

Is every call recorded and transcribed?

Yes, every one. We let the prospect know the call is recorded at the start, and you get the recording and a timestamped transcript afterwards. You'll always know what was said on your behalf.

What if someone asks a deep technical question?

We handle product-level questions with confidence. When a buyer needs your engineers, for security reviews, architecture or custom integrations, we log the questions and book a technical follow-up with the right person on your team.

How much does it cost?

A monthly base fee plus a price per demo. Starter is $600 a month plus $190 per demo, Growth is $1,000 a month plus $150 per demo, and Scale is $2,000 a month plus $125 per demo. Onboarding is included, with no setup fee.

How can experienced salespeople cost this little?

Because you're not paying for anyone's downtime. A full-time salesperson spends a lot of the week waiting for calls. Ours fill their day with demos across a few clients, so each client only pays for the calls they actually get.

What counts as a billable demo?

Any sales call booked through your site and scheduled with us. If someone no-shows, we follow up to rebook, and the rebooked call isn't billed again. Spam, duplicates and bookings outside your agreed criteria, like students, job seekers or competitors, aren't billed at all.

How fast can we start?

Most clients have their first calls covered within one to two weeks of kickoff. Most of that time goes into us learning what you sell and you approving the talk track.

Which tools do you work with?

The ones you already use. For booking: Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, Chili Piper or Google Calendar. For calls: Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. For CRM: HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce. Using something else? Just ask.

Is Surfaced a fit for us?

It works best when people book a call with you before they buy, and each new customer is worth enough to put an experienced salesperson on the call. If you're not getting calls booked yet, start with lead generation.

Do you generate leads too?

Surfaced focuses on the calls. For lead generation, our sister company LeadPocket has run cold-email campaigns for B2B companies for a decade. Plenty of founders use both: LeadPocket to fill the calendar, Surfaced to take the calls on it.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract. Plans are month to month, you can move between tiers any month, and you can cancel anytime.
